Charleston, W. Va – Under first-year head coach Michelle Frew, the Golden Eagles softball program went above and beyond in the classroom. With the team earning an overall 3.68 GPA, they were ranked as the 13
th highest GPA in NCAA Division II for the 2021-2022 academic year.
A whopping 19 Golden Eagles on the roster were able to acquire at least a 3.5 GPA for the year:

With a significant number of players returning for the upcoming campaign, Frew plans to make this an annual press release for the squad.

After recording her 1,000th win this season, Frew has proven that she is taking the program in the right direction. With this being her first season at the helm, the sky is the limit for what this team can accomplish for the upcoming 2023 season.
