BUCKHANNON, W.Va. - The winning streak continued as the Golden Eagles were on the road Tuesday night for their first MEC contest of the season.

Records: UC (14-2; 1-0 MEC), JCU (4-10; 0-1 MEC)
How It Happened:
UC took on the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats, who came into the match at 4-9 on the season. The Golden Eagles jumped on their competition early, just like they did this past weekend, taking the first set 25-23. The momentum continued into the second set as Charleston would take 10 of the first 18 Points. The Golden Eagles went on to outscore the Bobcats 15-5 and took the second set 25-13. In the same fashion, UC kept the energy and took the final set by a score of 25-12.
Charleston was led offensively by
Pia Selke and
Sage Bearnson, whom had 11 and 9 kills respectively.
Maria Hernandez dished out 25 assists.
McKenzie Damon defensively led with 14 digs, and
Erin Carmody also had 7 digs.
Up Next:
The Golden Eagles will host the Davis and Elkins Senators on Friday at 7:00PM. This will be Charleston's first home conference match of the season as they will look to keep their undefeated conference record.
