CHARLESTON, W.Va.—University of Charleston Women's Volleyball adds another win to their win column, as they defeat Notre Dame College (6-12, 4-5 MEC) in straight sets to improve to 18-7 overall and 7-2 in conference play.

How it Happened:
Set one was a close matchup until UC pulled ahead 14-10 on a five-point Emma Shepherd service run where she collected four service aces. From there, Charleston went on to win the set 25-16 on errors by Notre Dame and two service aces fromPia Selke and Maria Hernandez.
The Golden Eagles and the Notre Dame Falcons battled hard in the second frame, but Charleston fought harder and came out on top 27-25. The set started off with three straight kills by Patrycja Majos, Selke and Sage Bearnson to give UC the early advantage. The Golden Eagles quickly jolted to a 11-3 lead on a Selke service ace and kills by Mai-Lani Hernandez, Shepherd and Bearnson. Trailing by eight, the Falcons put a rally together to even the score at 16 a piece. The momentum seemed to be swinging in Notre Dame's favor, but Charleston did not let up and went on to win the set 27-25.
Charleston sealed the deal in the third frame, defeating the Falcons 25-17. The set started off as a close back-and-forth battle, but Suzan Agterberg strung along a six-point service run where she picked up an ace and enticed four straight attack errors by the Falcons. The set concluded on a kill by Bearnson and two more attack errors by Notre Dame.
Sage Bearnson and Emma Shepherd took charge of the Golden Eagles offense with Bearnson collecting 12 kills and Shepherd collecting six kills and five service aces.
