Box Score COLUMBUS, Ga. — The University of Charleston softball team finished the NFCA DII Leadoff Classic strong as they mercy ruled No. 18 Lincoln Memorial (10-1). Additionally, Hannah Rose received NFCA All-Tournament Team recognition for her performance this weekend.
Rose and Ali Rubal were forces to be reckoned with as Rose went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, four runs scored and two hit by pitches, while Rubal went 4-for-4 with three runs batted in. Bella Andujar also stood out as she went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs batted in and one run scored.
Bri McCown (1-2) picked up the win by only allowing one run on three hits and striking out three Railsplitters. Addison Mass took to the circle with two runners on and only one out. She went on to extinguish the threat, picking up her first save of the season.
Rose was 7-for-10 (.700) on the weekend scoring nine runs and stealing six bases, while driving in one run of her own. The All-American leadoff hitter continues to spark the offense for the Golden Eagles.
