Charleston, W. Va - Kyle West, a sophomore infielder from Hedgesville, WV was named Mountain East Conference and NCBWA Atlantic Region Player for the week of March 19 - March 26. 

West led the offense last week, hitting .346 with a .517 on base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage. He collected eight RBI, scored nine runs, stole five bases, hit four home runs, and a triple over six games.

The sophomore is leading the Golden Eagles with a .357 average on the season. He has a team leading nine home runs, three triples, and 26 runs scored. He is atop the Mountain East Conference in slugging percentage, OPS, home runs, triples, and stolen bases. He's second on the team in RBI with 23. 

He had a hit in five of the six games last week and is 19 for 43 (.442 avg) in his last 12 games. In that span he has 16 RBI, 20 runs, eight home runs, nine walks, with just has six strikeouts. 

Charleston plays four more conference games against Alderson Broaddus and Notre Dame College on Saturday and Sunday April 1-2.
