Charleston Preview
 
The Golden Eagles will enter Saturday's contest winners of 15 out of their last 16, boasting a 19-2 record while playing at Segra Field. They are 19-5 overall and 7-1 in Mountain East Conference play after a 3-1 weekend Frostburg and Fairmont State last week. The 19-5 start is their second best in program history.
 
Sophomore, Kyle Westt was named NCBWA Atlantic Region hitter of the week for the first time and MEC player of the week for the second time this season after his performance in six games last week.
 
Last week he hit four homers and a triple with eight RBI and nine runs as Charleston went 5-1 against the MEC North Division. He leads the MEC in home runs with nine, slugging percentage at .833, and triples with three. Additionally, he leads the team in stolen bases, total bases, OPS.
 
Graduate student, Tyler Dellerman has been the second key piece of the Charleston offense. Last week he hit .421 with two home runs, two doubles, eight RBI, and nine runs. He currently leads the MEC with 25 RBI on the season. He has seven doubles, and seven home runs with a 1.129 OPS on the season.
 
Sophomore, Giano Zuccaro is leading the team with a .490 on base percentage with 19 walks and 11 hit by pitches. He has knocked in 20 and scored 25 runs as Charleston's leadoff hitter.
 
Dellerman, Martinez, and West are all hitting over .300 this season.
 
On the mound junior Dane Sykes leads the team with 40 strikeouts while boasting a 5.04 ERA. Charleston's game one starter Ethan Soderna is 2-1 with a 4.15 ERA and 36 strikeouts over 30.1 IP.
 
Reliever Caleb Rush has yet to allow an earned run in 10.0 innings this year. He' has collected 10 strikeouts and a save in five appearances.  
 
Left-handed reliever Tad Dean has appeared in eight games while only allowing one earned run over 7.0 innings.
 
Austin Dzierwa has the highest K/9 number out of the bullpen. The senior right hander has fanned 16 over 9.1 innings with a 1.93 ERA.
 
Alderson Broaddus Preview
 
Charleston is 11-7 against the Battlers since 2010 and have won six of the last seven meetings between the two teams.
 
Chandler Ballenger leads the offense with a .389 average, 10 doubles, and four home runs. Joey Alcorn is a close second, hitting .375 with a team best 20 walks and a .505 on base percentage.
 
The Battlers enter Saturday with an 8-15 overall record, going 2-6 in Mountain East Conference play.
 
Notre Dame College Preview
 
UC boasts a 15-6 all-time record against Notre Dame College and have won 13 of their last 14 meetings. Charleston defeated the Falcons 9-8 in the 2019 Mountain East Conference Tournament Championship Game.
 
Notre Dame is 3-15 on the season with a 3-5 record in conference play. They split four games with Concord and Glenville and won one split a doubleheader with Davis & Elkins college on March 20.
 
Devon Minney leads the team with a .286 average and .362 on base percentage. Maximilian Schweiger is hitting .273 with a team best .727 OPS.
