How it Happened
With Georgia Ryan out with a concussion, Megan Liston would get the start between the posts on Saturday. The Bobcats would jump out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first quarter after solo goals from Neila Haney and Julia Badolato. Antonia Martinez would get Charleston on the board with a goal at the 7:29 mark to cut the lead in half. The Bobcats would answer with four consecutive goals to end the period with a 6-1 lead over the Golden Eagles. When it looked like things were getting out of hand, Charleston rallied back quickly. The second quarter entailed a hattrick from the Maryland native Madison Partridge and another Martinez goal to get the Golden Eagles within two scores with Frostburg State leading 7-5. Camden DeMaio would have the final words of the half with a score at the 5:23 mark to send the Bobcats into the locker room with an 8-5 lead.

Just a minute into the second half, Darby Stolz sent a flamethrower past the Bobcat goalie to get Charleston back to within two scores right away. Four minutes later, Haney would answer back with a goal off of the assist from DeMaio to create the three-score margin once again. From then on, it would be all Frostburg as the crowd would cheer on their five-goal stretch into the fourth quarter, as Dahlia Trippel's score at the 12:50 mark in the fourth would give the Bobcats a 14-6 lead. Darby Stolz would find two goals in the fourth quarter as well as a solo goal from Partridge, but Lilly Stephens' goal at the 4:15 mark would be the final score of the game as Frostburg State took the 16-9 victory over the Golden Eagles, handing them their first conference loss of the year.
