| By:

Charleston, W. Va.Hannah Rose, Brianna McCown and Isabella Andujar all received First-Team Division II Conference Commissioners Association (CCA) All-Atlantic Region recognition on Tuesday, with Rose also being recognized as Player of the Year.

Rose continues to show out for the Golden Eagles, as she sports a nation leading .519 batting average with 90 hits in 160 at-bats. The junior and two-time Mountain East Conference (MEC) Player of the Year has collected 13 home runs,16 doubles and four triples on the season with 71 runs scored, 34 runs batted in (RBI) and 30 stolen bases. Rose is also just two hits away from tying the UC single-season record for hits (92), which was established by Michelle Sabelhaus in 2008.

Junior Brianna McCown (28-4) has also played a key role in UC's success this season, as she boasts a 1.65 earned run average and leads the MEC in wins, strikeouts (226) and innings pitched (207.1). The Marshall transfer and MEC First-Teamer was also named MEC Tournament Most Valuable Player after leading her team to their first MEC Tournament Championship title.

Catcher Isabella Andujar supplies the Golden Eagles with a lot of power. The sophomore has blasted 19 home runs on the season, which ties the Mountain East Conference single-season home run record. The All-MEC First-Teamer also has 13 doubles and 60 RBIs to her name.

Rose, McCown and Andujar look to continue their successful season, as the University of Charleston travels to Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania to take on the Warriors in the Atlantic Super Regional.
