Catawba, NC – The National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association (NCBWA) announced the 2023 All-America teams on Sunday and named a trio of Charleston standouts as Honorable Mention.

Kyle West and
Tyler Dellerman were named honorable mention after being picked as first team Atlantic Region by three separate entities (NCBWA, Conference Commissioner's Association, and the American Baseball Coaches Association)
Dellerman was the MEC Player of the Year and led the conference in RBI (66) for the second straight season and broke a school record for career runs batted in with 207. It's the second consecutive season that Dellerman was the Atlantic Regional recognition, and his first All-American award.
West led the team in almost every major offensive category including slugging percentage (.881), batting average (.297), on base percentage (.524), runs, (72), home runs (22), doubles (20) , and stolen bases (29). He shattered the school and conference records for home runs by slugging 22 on the year.
Cole Peschl, a sophomore from Fairmont, WV was an All-Conference and All-Atlantic Region First Team selection as a relief pitcher, the All-America Honorable Mention was the first for the right hander. He began the season as a relief pitcher but transitioned to a starting role late in the season. He held a 2.35 ERA through 35.2 innings 78 strikeouts a 19.9 K/9 which topped all starting pitchers in division two. His nine wins were second in the MEC and top 25 in the nation.
