Damian Witty and Brayden McCallister both worked their way one with singles and then JD Armstrong was plunked with a pitch awarding him first base. With bases loaded and no outs, Hector Carreon Herrera flew out to center field, collecting an RBI as Witty advanced home. McCallister also scored on the play after an errant throw by the short stop.

Charleston tacked on another run in the top of the fourth off a Damian Witty single up the middle that scored Carter Rust who walked and then stole second to put himself in scoring position.

The next inning and a half were scoreless before Charleston stepped up to bat in the top of the sixth. AJ Karosas led things off for the Golden Eagles with a single to center field and then advancing to second on a stolen base before Eric Chartier was awarded first after a walk. Karosas and Chartier were successful on the double steal, putting runners on second and third for Evan Ulrich. Ulrich laid down a sacrifice bunt which allowed Karosas to score, giving Charleston a 4-0 lead over the Falcons.

How it Happened:
The Golden Eagles jumped on the board early in game two, Brayden McCallister getting things started with a free base after getting hit. McCallister then stole second and later third before JD Armstrong reached on a walk. With runners on the corners, Hector Carreon Herrera doubled to right field, McCallister scoring and Armstrong advancing to third. Evan Ulrich then reached on an error that allowed both Armstrong and Carreon Herrera to score.

Charleston tacked on another three runs in the top of the second, McCallister once again being the spark. With McCallister on first after being walked, JD Armstrong singled to right field, McCallister advancing to third. Carreon Herrera then singled to second base which advanced both Armstrong and McCallister up a bag. Both runners were then advanced a bag on a balk, the runners now on second and third. Next batter to the plate Evan Ulrich singled to center field, scoring both Armstrong and Carreon Herrera for a 6-0 lead.

The next two innings were scoreless, Charleston heading back to the plate in the top of the fifth. Things got started for Charleston when AJ Karosas lead the inning off with a walk and Eric Chartier followed with a hit by pitch to put two runners on for Peighton Vargas. Vargas proceeded to send a ball over the right field wall for a three-run blast, his first of the season. Carter Rust followed it up with a double, but the Falcons got out of the inning, Charleston now leading 9-0.

The second hit of the inning was an AJ Karosas triple to left center that plated Finn Ellis and Carreon Herrera.
