How It Happened
The Golden Eagles have started games very well this season and they would continue to play well early in the matchup as Nicolette Lospitalier and Madison Partridge would find back-to-back goals to begin the game with the 2-0 advantage. Izzie Sevila would get the Senators on the board a minute later with a goal at the 10:13 to cut the lead in half at 2-1. Partridge found her second goal of the game midway through the quarter to regain the two-score lead for the visitors. Heading into the second quarter, Sevila found the back of the net once again to cut the lead back to one, but the Golden Eagles had found their rhythm on offense. The visitors would fire off four goals inside of two minutes, with Ella Russano's at the 7:08 mark giving Charleston the 7-2 lead. Sevila and Morgan Rogers scored two more goals in effort to shorten the margin before the half, but Charleston would wash the Senators' goals with two of their own from Partridge and Darby Stolz to take the 9-4 lead into the locker room.

Madison Partridge scored her sixth goal of the game at the 5:19 mark of the third quarter to extend Charleston's lead to 10-4. The Senators would put together a streak of three goals heading into fourth quarter to cut the lead to 10-7, but the Golden Eagles maintained their lead throughout the fourth quarter with two more goals from Tess Yuhas and Madison Partridge. Charleston would leave Harpertown Field with the 12-8 victory, securing their fourth Mountain East Conference win of the campaign.

In Saturday's contest, Madison Partridge surpassed a milestone scoring her 100th career goal against Davis & Elkins. She also broke the University of Charleston record for most goals in a season with 58 now on the year, a record previously held by Sophia Conzone with 50 in 2022.
