WEST LIBERTY, W.Va.-The University of Charleston Women's Volleyball team fell to West Liberty University in a hard-fought 3-1 match.

How it Happened:
West Liberty secured the victory with set scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-23, and 26-24. Charleston showed resilience throughout, particularly in the second set, where they rebounded to even the match. However, West Liberty's offense proved too strong, edging out Charleston in the critical moments of the third and fourth sets.
Emma Shepherd and Pia Selke led the Golden Eagles' attack with 12 and 15 kills, respectively, while Riley Hoff contributed 14 kills and 6 digs. Despite hitting a solid .219 as a team, Charleston struggled to maintain momentum, especially in the final set. Shepherd also contributed defensively with 12 digs, while Chloe Fortner led the team with 14 digs.
Charleston now moves to 10-3 on the season and 0-1 in conference play, with hopes of bouncing back in their next match.
