Charleston, W.Va. – Ja'Corey Lipkins led the Golden Eagles with 23 points in the contest. Charleston was explosive in the second half, resulting in a 91-60 victory over the Davis & Elkins Senators.

How it Happened:
The Golden Eagles jumped out to an 8-0 led to open up the contest. Despite the early lead, the remainder of the first half was well contested, Charleston eventually heading into half time with a two-point lead, 36-34. While the Golden Eagles had the slight advantage, Concord had the better shooting percent at 56% compared to Charleston's 46%.
The Golden Eagles turned on the burners in the second half, taking a ten-point lead at the under fifteen media time out and never looking back. Charleston shot an impressive 67% in the second half, highlighted by eleven shots from beyond the arc. Ja'Corey Lipkins had the hot hand in the half, five of the three-pointers coming by way of the left-handed freshman.
In the victory, Coach Long had fifteen players seeing the court. Off the bench, Rico Carr- Cole notched his name into the stats for the first time in his career with a layup and a three-pointer in his two minutes of play. Other notable performances include freshman Matthew Shelton with 13 points and nine boards along with veteran Dwaine Jones who contributed 11 points and nine assists.
