Charleston, W.Va. — The University of Charleston women's volleyball team defended home court Saturday evening with a commanding 3–1 win over Emory & Henry inside the Wehrle Innovation Center. How it Happened:

The Wasps tied the score again at 9–9, but the Golden Eagles answered with another 7-point surge to extend their advantage to 16–9. Charleston maintained its rhythm the rest of the way, closing out the opening frame 25–19.

In the second set, UC continued to dominate. The Golden Eagles jumped ahead early and never looked back, capitalizing on Wasp errors and a steady offensive rhythm. A 5-point stretch pushed the lead to 19–8 before Madison Easton ended the set with a kill to seal a 25–14 win.

What looked like a potential sweep shifted in set three, as Emory & Henry battled back. After the teams traded points early, the Wasps broke a 5–5 tie and kept the lead throughout the frame. Charleston's late push cut the deficit to two, but a kill from Julissa Hopgood finished the set 25–22, forcing a fourth.

The Golden Eagles responded with authority in the final set. After an early 3–3 tie, Charleston surged ahead and quickly took control. The offense clicked on all cylinders as UC doubled up the Wasps throughout the frame. Kalista Milne's final kill, followed by an Emory & Henry error, secured the 25–12 victory and the 3–1 match win.
