California, Pa. –The Golden Eagles fell to the Vulcans of California University of Pennsylvania in a Wednesday evening road contest.

How it Happened:
The first several minutes of the game were back-and-forth basketball with both teams trading points and the lead, Charleston with a 22-21 lead at the under ten media timeout. The Vulcans then began to pull away slightly, taking a ten-point lead with under two minutes left in the first half. Charleston was able to get the game back within two possessions as Kaden Davis hit a three as the first half came to a close, Charleston trailing California 44-38.
The first few minutes of the second half were kept close, but the Vulcans began to pull away once more as they kept Charleston scoreless for over seven minutes, extending their lead to 25, ahead 69-44. The deficit was too much for the Golden Eagles to overcome and they eventually fell to the Vulcans 90-60 in California's home opener.
Kaden Davis was the leading scorer for the Golden Eagles with 21 points including four three-pointers.
