Charleston earns second straight win with victory over Findlay

Charleston, W.Va. – The University of Charleston lacrosse team continued its strong start to the season with an 8-6 victory over the University of Findlay, marking their second consecutive win.

How It Happened
The Golden Eagles came out strong, taking control early in the first quarter with a 3-0 lead. Graduate student Willow Cooper scored two of those goals.
In the second quarter, Findlay responded, showing more intensity and battling back to tie the game at 3-3 by the 9-minute mark. Both teams exchanged goals, with UC regaining the lead thanks to a goal from junior Madison Partridge just under two minutes before halftime. Liston closed out the half with a total of seven saves.

The second half started with both teams eager to attack, trading goals for nearly eight minutes. Findlay's persistence paid off when they scored to even the game at 6-6. The third quarter saw both sides locked in a fierce back-and-forth, but neither team could break the tie.
The fourth quarter proved to be the deciding period. UC seized the lead first with a goal from senior transfer Sylvi Jenner, assisted by sophomore midfielder Lulu Cline. With the momentum on their side, Darby Stolz sealed the victory for Charleston, scoring the final goal of the game to give UC the 8-6 win.

It was another strong team performance for the Golden Eagles, with three different players scoring two goals in the game. Goalkeeper Megan Liston played a pivotal role, recording nine saves in a standout effort.
