Charleston, Wv. – The University of Charleston Lacrosse team returns to form with dominant 19-5 victory over Thomas More University.

How It Happened
The University of Charleston came out strong, setting the tone early with aggressive play. Junior Madison Partridge wasted no time, scoring twice within the first two minutes of the game. Despite Thomas More's efforts to control possession and slow down the pace, Charleston capitalized on every opportunity, relentlessly adding to their lead. After one quarter, the Golden Eagles were in command with a 6-1 advantage, capped off by a goal from sophomore Hayden Slinkard.
Thomas More came out with renewed energy in the second quarter, scoring an early goal to make it 6-2. However, Charleston responded quickly and continued to dominate. Senior Hannah Calvert scored her second goal of the game with just over five minutes left in the half, and the Golden Eagles entered halftime with a commanding 13-3 lead.
The second half was a showcase of UC's depth, as several players saw action. Freshman goalkeeper Jozette Rimkus stepped into goal and kept a clean sheet during the third quarter, allowing Charleston to extend their lead with 4 more goals. Both teams exchanged two goals in the final quarter, but Charleston cruised to a 19-5 victory.
With the win, UC improves to 4-1 on the season. Junior Darby Stolz led the offense with 5 goals, while sophomore Hayden Slinkard recorded 6 assists to help drive the Golden Eagles' success.
