Painesville, OH– The University of Charleston's lacrosse team traveled to Ohio for a dominant 18-3 victory over Lake Erie College on Saturday.

How It Happened
The Golden Eagles came out firing in the first quarter, putting the Storm on the defensive from the start. UC controlled possession with six draw controls and forced a series of turnovers, leaving Lake Erie with little room to respond. The Storm managed just one goal as Charleston netted eight, with senior Sylvi Jenner scoring the final goal of the period.
Lake Erie's struggles continued into the second quarter, where UC extended its lead. Graduate student Willow Cooper made it 10-0 with 9 minutes remaining in the half. The Storm managed to get one goal back, but Charleston quickly answered with another, taking an 11-1 lead into halftime.
The second half saw little change in momentum as UC continued to pressure. Junior Madison Partridge got things started with a goal to make it 12-1, and the Golden Eagles extended their advantage to 15-2 by the end of the third quarter.
In the final period, Charleston sealed the deal with three more goals before Lake Erie got a late consolation goal to end the game at 18-3.
With the victory, UC improves to 6-1 ahead of their upcoming conference play. Junor Madison Partridge delivered an outstanding performance, scoring five goals on the day.
