Frostburg, MD – The University of Charleston lacrosse team faced a tough opponent in Frostburg State, ultimately falling 14-3 in a challenging contest.

How it Happened:
The game started with a tightly contested first quarter. Frostburg won the opening draw, and both teams came out aggressive, earning a green card on each side just 30 seconds into the game. Megan Liston made a crucial save on a free-position shot for Frostburg, but the Bobcats struck first, taking the lead at 10:47 in the quarter. They added another goal late to finish the period up 2-0.
In the second quarter, Frostburg seized control of the game. The Bobcats scored twice within the first two minutes and continued their offensive surge, ending the half with a 7-0 lead.
The third quarter followed a similar pattern, with Frostburg dominating play. Charleston struggled to maintain possession, and Frostburg capitalized on their opportunities, pushing their lead to 11-0. UC managed to get on the board with a goal from Alyse Weber, but it was too little, too late.
In the final quarter, Weber added two more goals for Charleston, but Frostburg's lead proved insurmountable. The game concluded with a 14-3 scoreline.
Charleston's record now stands at 7-2 on the season, with a 1-1 mark in MEC play.
