How it Happened:
The opening set went the way of the Yellow Jackets, who used efficient hitting and timely runs to pull ahead late and take the frame 25–15. Charleston looked more settled in the second set, trading points in a back-and-forth battle that saw ten ties and five lead changes. Still, Cedarville closed strong to edge the Golden Eagles 25–22 and go up 2–0 in the match.
Charleston refused to back down and showed resilience in the third. Behind steady setting from Abby Avila and aggressive swings at the net, the Golden Eagles secured their best offensive set of the night, hitting .194 as a team. Key kills from Divine Muo and Matea Cunningham fueled UC's surge as they claimed the third set 25–22, extending the match to a fourth frame.
In the final set, Charleston again kept pace with Cedarville as both teams traded blows early. The Golden Eagles stayed within striking distance, but Cedarville's balanced attack held firm down the stretch. Despite Charleston's fight, the Yellow Jackets sealed the match with a 25–23 win in the fourth.
