Records: Charleston 6-6 (3-4 MEC), Point Park 2-9 (1-6 MEC)
How it Happened:
Charleston established control early and never looked back, using efficient shooting and strong rebounding to build separation throughout the night. The Golden Eagles shot 58% from the floor and knocked down52% from three-point range, moving the ball effectively and capitalizing on open looks. UC also dominated the glass, finishing with a 43-26 rebounding advantage that helped limit second-chance opportunities for the Pioneers.
The Golden Eagles' balanced attack was led by Hamilton Campbell, who flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. Campbell controlled the tempo and consistently created scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. Thomas Hailey followed with 17 points, while Braden Chapman added 14 points, giving Charleston three players in double figures. Defensively, UC kept Point Park out of rhythm all night, holding the Pioneers to 34% shooting and just8-fo-33 from beyond the arc. Charleston's ability to defend the perimeter and finish possessions with rebounds allowed the Golden Eagles to steadily extend the lead in the second half and close out the win.
