UC would tie the game up in the fifth inning, after the Pioneer pitcher would have some/. command issues walking both Caleb Knapp and Zach Syvertson. Top of seventh for the Golden Eagles was a good one as Andrew Kobryn would be leadoff with a triple and score on a wild pitch to tie the game up at four a piece. Moose Lemond would single in this inning, but that would be all for UC. Simon Bargo came in relief after Deckrosh's outing and had an electric inning. Bargo would sit the Pioneers down in order that would put UC in a good spot.
UC would take advantage of this and in the top of the eighth Hunter Howell would have a one out single. Abe Fenwick would then follow with a single of his own. With two outs now Andrew Kobryn would stay hot on the day, doubling down the line and scoring Drew Gault, who pinch ran for Howell. Charleston would take the 5-4 lead in this one. How it Happened
In the top of the first inning in this one, UC couldn't put together much offense besides a Trent Dosenbach single. Sophomore Nick Hulme got his first appearance of the season starting for The Golden Eagles. Tusculum would get off to a hot start after a couple of walks and timely hits lead to three runs for the Pioneers.
The top of the Second for UC wasn't any better as the Pioneers pitcher was dealing striking out the side. Hulme went back out for the second inning but unfortunately it would go just like the first. Three more runs would come in, and freshman Ethan Bechtold would finish out the inning For UC.
Tusculum pitcher, Walker Pedante continued to his dominance in the third inning as he would only give up a single to Max Layne. After the single, Pedante would bounce back and get two quick outs. Ethan Bechtold would have a successful inning following Pedante as he would return the favor by putting up a scoreless inning.
UC still could not figure out any offense as Pedante would retire Charleston in order in the fourth. Freshman Grant Barclay would make his debut on the mound for UC and would put up a zero. Barclay worked through a couple of runners getting on base to have a scoreless inning.
UC loaded the bases in the top of the fifth, but it didn't matter as Pedante was taken out of the game. The Pioneer reliever shut Charleston down after forcing a groundball into a double play. Barclay had a clean inning at the bottom of the fifth as he would not give up a run through his outing.
Charleston looked to find a way back in the top of the sixth but couldn't as they would once again go down with resistance. Harry Lamont was in relief for Grant Barclay in the bottom of the sixth and was able to give The Golden Eagles a chance forcing two fly outs and a ground out. UC having one more chance to comeback could not find any run support as The Golden Eagles would lose 6-0.

How it Happened
Charleston started at the top of the first slow going down in order. Landon Ingram got the start for UC. The Sophomore threw big innings last year, and this year he plans to do the same. One run would score for the pioneers this inning as a hit-by-pitch, error and wild pitch gave Tusculum an early lead 1-0 lead.
Inning two for Charleston was no different than inning one as UC once again goes three up three down. Ingram would have a couple of walks as well as a couple of strikeouts in the bottom half of the second. The Pioneers would score one this inning on an RBI single up the middle, making it 2-0.
Charleston just could not find any offense as batters were sat down in order once again in the top of the third. Ingram would give Tusculum trouble this inning, adding a strikeout to his total and not giving up any runs.
The top of the fourth started with a single from "Moose" Lemond, but he was caught attempting to steal second base. Logan Bradish would have a single in this inning, but UC could not expand it, scoring no runs in the inning. Harry Lamont would replace Ingram in the bottom of the fourth. Lamont, who pitched yesterday, had a quick inning easily fooling the pioneer bats with off-speed pitches.
The Golden Eagles could not build off Lamont's inning as they went three up three down. In the bottom of the fifth inning after a couple of hit-by-pitches and a single Tusculum would score another run, making the score 3-0.
UC just could not answer back with any offense posting another scoreless inning. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Josh "BIGJUK" Horton came to the mound but after a fly out, Horton could not find the zone having a few walks and being replaced by Devin Walsh who would get out of the inning but not before three runs scored making it a 6-0 ballgame.
The top of the seventh was like the rest for The Golden Eagles as the team couldn't find any runs. The bottom of the inning for Tusculum saw another run as an error and single lead to the score becoming 7-0.
In the top of the eighth Charleston got some runners on but that was not enough as they still came up empty in the runs department. The bottom of the eighth was a big one for the Pioneers as they scored four runs, making the score 11-0.
The Golden Eagles could not score in the top of the ninth and lost 11-0.

How it Happened
The Golden Eagles had a slow start to the first inning in this one as they would not score to begin the game. Despite a Trent Dosenbach Single and Andrew Kobryn Walk, UC found no offense. Freshman J.P. Shultz got the start for The Golden Eagles in game four. Shultz would face some struggles in the first as a few walks and hits rallied The Pioneers early. Tusculum would get out to a quick 5-0 start.
UC would show resistance in the top of the second after senior John Stansbury was hit by a pitch. Caleb Knapp singled to left following Stansbury putting two runners on base. A Zach Syvertson walk would load the bases for Moose Lemond. Lemond would hit a high pop up that caused the Tusculum infield to lose the ball in the sun. Two runs came in for UC, making it a 5-2 ballgame! J.P. Shultz settled in for the bottom of the second as he put the pioneers down in order which gave Charleston some energy.
UC would rally off the back of Shultz as Andrew Kobryn would stay hot on the weekend with a single. After a couple of walks, the Tusculum pitcher was pulled in the third inning. The pitching change came to no avail as John Stansbury would have a single scoring Kobryn and Logan Bradish. After this a Caleb Knapp walk lead to a single from Junior Max Layne. This would tie the game up at 5! Moose Lemond would come up to the plate next and work a walk. Giving UC a 6-5 lead. The Pioneers would work out of this nightmare inning getting a ground out, but not before Charleston put up a four spot. In the bottom of the third inning Simon Bargo replaced Shultz and found success as he put up a scoreless inning keeping UC in the lead.
The Golden Eagles would add one more run in the top of the fourth as Andrew Kobryn reached on an error and Logan Bradish singled. Carson Bradley drew a walk loading the bases and a passed ball scored Kobryn giving UC a 7-5 lead. William "Bumby" Van Meter would sub in for Bargo in the bottom of the fourth. After a walk and a couple of hit batters, UC found themselves in a pickle. Two runs would come in this inning with no hits, tying the game at 7.
The Golden Eagles would try to get the runs back in the top of the fifth after Zach Syvertson led off with a single. However, a double play would end Charleson's rally, and UC would not score this inning. Kyle Evenhus would come in for the bottom of the fifth and would work through a couple of runners on. Caleb Knapp made a tremendous diving play at third base to end the inning, leaving the game tied at 7.
Not much happened for the Golden Eagles in the top of sixth as a pitching change would stop UC in their tracks. Evenhus would stay on the mound for Charleston in the bottom of the sixth, but after a couple of walks he was pulled which brought Ethan Bechtold into the game. The Pioneers would find some offense with the pitching change, and a double, triple and sac fly gave Tusculum breathing room now up 12-7.
UC tried to mount a comeback as John Stansbury would blast a solo home run, Charleston's first of the year. After this, UC would get a couple more on but not in as they would lose a 12-8.
