Golden Eagles Secure 96-85 Home Victory Over Frostburg State

Charleston, W.Va. -The Golden Eagles delivered a strong performance to secure a 96-85 win over the Frostburg State Bobcats in this Mountain East Conference matchup.

How it Happened:
Charleston set the tone early, building a steady advantage behind efficient shooting and disciplined ball movement. The Golden Eagles carried a 42–33 lead into halftime after holding Frostburg State to limited second-chance opportunities and capitalizing in transition. Out of the break, UC continued to apply pressure, pouring in 54 second-half points and responding each time the Bobcats attempted to trim the deficit.
 
Five Golden Eagles scored in double figures, led by Braden Chapman's 21-point performance. Chapman knocked down key shots throughout the night to help maintain separation. Thomas Hailey added 20 points, consistently attacking the basket and providing veteran leadership on the floor. Hamilton Campbell contributed 13 points, while Matthew Shelton and Ben Nicol each added 10 to round out Charleston's balanced scoring effort.
 
With the win, the Golden Eagles continued to build momentum in conference play, showcasing depth and offensive versatility. Charleston's ability to distribute scoring across the lineup and execute down the stretch proved decisive as they protected their home court and added another important MEC victory to their resume.
