How it Happened
Fairmont state started early getting out to a2-0 lead. C Bailey delivered a clutch single to left field, driving in G Riley and C Moore to give UC an early 2-0 lead. Fairmont State answered in the third inning. Samuel Lemond started the rally with an RBI single, cutting the deficit to one. Shortly after, Trent Dosenbach came through with a huge triple down the left field line, bringing home two runs and
giving FSU a 3-2 advantage.
Uc kept building momentum in the fifth inning. Andrew Kobryn doubled to left center to drive in a run, and Dosenbach followed with another RBI knock. Collin Kemp capped off the inning with a two-RBI
double, extending the Fairmont State lead to 7-2. Fairmont state did not go down easy began chipping away. In the sixth inning, C Cole singled through the left side to bring home a run and make it 7-3.
The seventh inning is where the Golden Eagles completed their comeback. C Bailey drew a bases-loaded walk to force in a run, and a wild pitch moments later allowed another run to score, cutting the deficit to 7-5. C Cole then came up big again, delivering a two-RBI single to center field to tie the game at 7-7. Charleston got a couple of runners on in the bottom of the 7th. Freshman Ashton Cochran came up clutch. A sac fly to Left field scored the winning run and walked it off. Charleston took an exciting win.

How it Happened
Charleston struck early in the second inning, capitalizing on defensive miscues. John Stansbury II reached on a fielder's choice, and an error by the third baseman allowed Ryan Comella to score the game's first run. The Golden Eagles kept the pressure on as Zachary Syvertson singled to left field, bringing home Stansbury for another unearned run. Moments later, Damian Witty ripped a double down the left field line to score Syvertson and extend the lead to 3-0. Fairmont State answered in the fourth inning. G Riley singled to drive in a run, and a sacrifice fly from D Emrich brought home another, cutting the deficit to 3-2. Charleston responded in the sixth inning with a big offensive surgr. driving in two runs to give UC a 4-3 lead.
FSU quickly answered, taking advantage of an error on a failed pickoff attempt that allowed a run to score and tie the game. However UC fired right back as A sacrifice fly from Collin Kemp then brought in the goahead run, giving UC a 5-4 advantage. Despite the late push from FSU, Charleston remained in the lead winning 5-4.
