UC Wins First Game of The Year

How it Happened


The Golden Eagles won their first game of the 2018 season, outlasting the Senators to win 20-6. UC's Aryanna Jones had seven goals, making this the most scored ever in a game, in UC lacrosse history. In the first 9:17 of the game, Charleston scored eight-straight goals, to give themselves a huge lead.
 
Charleston has 20 shots in the first half of the game, capitalizing on 14 of them. UC only gave up eight turnovers heading into the second half, compared to 11 given up by D&E. After the second half of the game UC made six of their 13 shots, securing their commanding lead over the Senators for the first game of the year.
 
UC was successful 14-17 on clears, whereas D&E was only 6-8.  Charleston had a total of 26 groundballs, six saves, and eight draw controls to round out the win over Davis & Elkins.
