Box Score CHARLESTON, WV – The University of Charleston men's basketball team (16-12, 12-10 MEC) finished their regular season with a 82-72 win over the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets (12-15, 10-12 MEC) on senior day.

How it Happened 
The Golden Eagles jumped on a 14-5 run to start the first half, led by Keir Anderson with five points. The Golden Eagles were able to hold their lead for six more minutes, but the Yellow Jackets climbed their way back into the game to take the 19-18 lead with a three-pointer by Jahlen Green. 

The Golden Eagles took back their lead with a three pointer by Austin Howard with 10 minutes to play in the first half. After exchanging the lead two more times Charleston went into the break with the 46-44 lead over WVSU. Keir Anderson came out swinging for the Golden Eagles going 5-9 from the field, tallying 15 points in the first half. 

Charleston came out of the break to hold their lead through the second half holding an 11-point advantage with 10 minutes to play in regulation. Led again by Anderson the golden eagles shot 46 percent to down the yellow jackets 82-72.

West Virginia State was led by Pat Johson-Agwu who went 4-7 from the field, and downed every free throw to tally 16 points in the loss. Jeremiah Moore and Jahlen Green each tallied 15 for State.
