HOW IT HAPPENED

The Golden Eagles fell to Slippery Rock University on Friday evening, allowing 12 goals into the back of the net. Slippery Rock began the game outplaying UC, scoring seven goals in the first 18 minutes of play, leading the Golden Eagles 7-0 with 2:37 left in the first half.  Charleston's Emma Renda answered quickly to put one in the back of the net for the Golden Eagles before the end of the first half, putting the score at 7-1 at halftime.
 
Slippery Rock came back in the second half with another goal against UC with 21:25 left to play, adding another goal to lead by seven. Aryanna Jones had three goals in three minutes to put four goals on the scoreboard for the Golden Eagles, closing Slippery Rock's lead to 8-4. UC put two more goals in the back of the net, but they weren't enough to takeover Slippery Rock, losing 12-6.

- Aryanna Jones led the Golden Eagles with four goals.

- Kelly Muenster scored three goals to lead Slippery Rock in scoring.
