The Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) named Lachlan Bray of Charleston (W.V.) the Offensive Player of the Week and Sacred Heart's Timothy McIntosh the Defensive Player of the Week on March 9, 2020.
Despite two losses for the Golden Eagles, Lachlan had a pair of huge performances. The sophomore broke the program record for a five-set match on March 5 with 27 kills while hitting .500 against King (Tenn.), adding eight digs and three aces. Two nights later, in a loss to George Mason, Bray had 20 kills while hitting .417, with eight digs and four aces. His two-match total saw a hitting line of 47-11-78 .462 with 16 digs, seven aces and a pair of blocks. The EIVA weekly honors are the first of Bray's season and career.
UC will look for continued success from Bray moving forward as they take n the brunt of their league play in the coming weeks.Â
