Box Score CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The University of Charleston Golden Eagles took home their fourth straight victory, topping the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats 81-62 at home. Charleston was led by LaMont McManus with 16 points in the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bobcats came out strong to an 8-6 lead just over five minutes in to the first half, but the Golden Eagles tied the game up 9-9 with a three from Isaiah Gable. On the next possession Eddie Colbert knocked down a three for the six-point lead. At the 11:26 mark, Zach Seese hit one from the stripe to convert a three-point play bringing the visitors within five points of UC.
After a scoreless three minutes Gable hit a layup with seven minutes to play to give Charleston the seven-point lead over Wesleyan. At the five-minute mark of the first half, Daylin Lee knocked down a three to once again cut the Golden Eagles lead to five points. Charleston extended their lead to eight points on a three from Shaunn Monroe. In the final two minutes Lamont McManus hit a bucket from the paint to extend the Golden Eagles lead to 10-points.
The Golden Eagles committed back-to-back turnovers, allowing the Bobcats to hit a three from Lee to bring WVWC back within seven points of Charleston. The Golden Eagles clung to their lead heading to the break with a 32-23 lead.
The Golden Eagles took off on a 12-3 lead to start the second half that ended with a three from Gables to give Charleston the 44-27 lead, on the next possession Gable hit another shot from behind the arc to put the Golden Eagles up by 17.
With 12 minutes to go in the second half Monroe knocked down a three to give Charleston the 52-34 lead. Wesleyan answered on the next possession on a three-point play from Ross Young. After scoring on back-to-back possessions the Golden Eagles mounted a 65-43 lead with 6:58 to play.
Charleston secured their lead and came away with the 81 - 62 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan.
