About their big Conference Championship Sweep, Coach Bias said the following:

"I'm so proud of both of our teams for winning men's and women's championships! Kudos to our coaching staff for having this team prepped and ready to roll! They executed our plan to perfection and for that we brought home two MEC Championship trophies!

In our team meeting last week we talked about the importance of everyone doing their job in their respective events. The goal was to take one event at a time and focus on the team championship in a big picture. They didn't blink and did such a great job of rising to the occasion.

This is our men's 5th straight track & field championship and our women's first track & field championship! It's so great to see both teams get rewarded for all of their hard work they put in for weeks and months – then to see them get to celebrate it together was just the icing on the cake.

We'll take a few easy days to recover and then start out preparation to train for the MEC outdoor track & field championships in early May! We want to win the outdoor championships as well and complete the Triple Crown Sweep on both sides!"
