Box Score RICHMOND, Va.—University of Charleston's Eddie Colbert III scored 16 points and tallied up seven rebounds to lead the Golden Eagles to a 60-53 road victory over Virginia Union University. UC's Tyler Eberhart also played a key role in the win with 13 points scored, 13 rebounds, an assist, a block and a field goal percentage of .667.

How it Happened:
DeAirius Barker scored first for the Golden Eagles, giving them a 3-2 advantage over the Bobcats. The Bobcats responded with a jump shot, but Barker pushed Charleston back out in front on another trey. A dunk and a pair of two-pointers gave Virginia Union the lead back, however, Eberhart answered back with a dunk of his own followed by a shot from behind the arc to make the score 11-10. The tug-of-war continued until the half concluded with the Golden Eagles leading the Bobcats 28-23.
Charleston picked up momentum in the second half and Virginia Union was unable to regain control. Eberhart scored the first five points for UC on a layup and a triple, which gave them 33-23 advantage over VUU. The next four possessions for the Golden Eagles featured a three-pointer by Turner, two good free throws by Barker and an Obinna Ugwuakazi layup and dunk to make the score 42-30. Charleston led the rest of the way and sealed the deal on a dunk by Colbert III to give them the 60-53 victory over Virginia Union.
