LEWISBURG, Pa.—University of Charleston Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field takes home 14 top twenty placings at the Bison Outdoor Classis in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. The men had six top ten finishes, while the women had one.
Women's Highlights:
Women 5000m Run Unseeded:
Madison Woolwine was the only Golden Eagle to race in this event. Woolwine went on to finish in third place out of 68 competitors with a time of 17:50.76.
Women's Triple Jump:
Laura Delgado de Torres soared to a 19
th place finish with a mark of 11.45m. 43 athletes competed in this event.
Women's Shotput:
41 women competed in the Women's Shotput. Out of those 41 athletes, UC's Abby McKinney placed 17
th with a mark of 12.20m.
Men's Highlights:
Men's 100m:
Timber Huysmans was the first Golden Eagle to cross the finish line in the Men's 100 Meters. With a time of 10.78, he took 18
th place out of 114 athletes.
Men's 200 Meters:
Huysmans also placed high in this event. He claimed the ninth place spot out of 123 athletes with a time of 21.74.
Men 800m Run:
Warren Thiel was also a top ten finisher for Charleston. The senior raced to a sixth place finish out of 157 athletes after posting a time of 1:49.88.
Men 5000m Run Unseeded:
Out of 60 competitors, Collin Brooks crossed the finish line at 15.19.57 to claim the 13
th place spot.
Men's 110 Hurdles:
Robert Arizzi found himself high on the leaderboard after he claimed seventh place with a time of 14.94. 42 athletes competed in this event.
Men's' 400 Hurdles:
In this event, Damian Smith secured the 13
th place spot out of 47 in 55.19 seconds.
Men's Steeplechase:
Also securing a top 20 finish was Antoine Aflalo. Aflalo finished in 19
th place out of 67 at 9.25.77.
Men's 4x400 Relay:
Omar Holeness, Roberto Agrizzi, Cleadieais Alston and Zachary Parsons finished in 12
th place out of 18 teams with a time of 42.03.
Men's Long Jump & Triple Jump:
Lethogonolo Ramafuthula soared to a 12
th place finish in the Men's Long Jump and Triple Jump out of 43 competitors. His mark was 6.83m in the long jump and 14.07m in the triple jump.
Men's Shot Put:
Kellen Tropeck claimed the ninth place spot out of 46 after throwing a mark of 15.95m.
Men's Discus:
Frankie Winter put up a mark of 45.37m, which secured him 19
th place out of 44.
Men's Javelin:
Manuel Campana was the only Golden Eagle to compete in the Men's Javelin. With a mark of 56.40, he took seventh place out of 39.
