UC finished in second behind a strong WVWC team that placed four runners in the top 5. Kourtney Willey was the top Golden Eagle coming in sixth place with a time of 20:31, nearly a minute faster than the last time she ran Concord's 5k course. Amanda Richards continues to shine finishing in 16th place in a time of 21:44. Brittany Green, Becca Henderson, and Amanda Boyce continue to stay packed together coming in 24th, 26th, and 32nd respectively. Jessy Blankenship and Kayla Bishop rounded out the top seven. Coach Blankenship noted, "Great race for us, we still have a long way to go and we know that. We wanted to go fast and we did. A couple of rough points on the course but no race is going to dictate our season, it's just part of the journey until the championship."
