KANSAS CITY, Mo. (November 29, 2017) – United Soccer Coaches announced on Wednesday the association's NCAA Division II Men's and Women's All-America Teams on the eve of the 2017 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Soccer Championship semifinals in Kansas City.
Charleston's Thomas Vancaeyezeele earned First Team All-America following a stellar senior season from his defender position. The Caan, France native has led the Golden Eagles to their fourth straight NCAA National Semifinal with a record of 19-1-2. Joining Vancaeyezeele is Patrick Guier, a Third Team All-America selection. The junior from Germany makes his second appearance on the United Soccer Coaches All-America team after being selected in 2016.
This year's NCAA Division II All-Americans will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Luncheon on January 20, 2018 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in conjunction with the 2018 United Soccer Coaches Convention in downtown Philadelphia.
In addition, the 2017 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's All-Region Teams have been posted in the "Awards Central" section of UnitedSoccerCoaches.org.
