HOW IT HAPPENED
- Alderson Broaddus started the scoring off for the Battlers with a goal 40 seconds into the game, but UC answered back with a goal by Peyton Harris just a mere minute later. On the next possession Alderson Broaddus went up 2-1 with a goal by Mykirah Jones. The two teams battled back-and-fourth for the next 8 minutes. After a UC foul the Battlers found the back of the net at 20:35 with a goal by attacker Jasmine Barham.
- Four minutes later Alderson Broaddus found the net again with a goal puttting them up 4-1 on the Golden Eagles. Within 2 minutes UC's Megan Sheesley put the ball past the Battlers goal keeper. Peyton Harris was credited with the assist. Charleston narrowed the Battler lead to just one after Samantha Jones scored her first goal of the season with just over 5 minutes to go in the first half. With 20 seconds left in the first Jasmine Barham of Alderson Broaddus scored her third goal of the game to send the teams into the half with the Battlers up 5-3 on the Golden Eagles.
- Charleston wasted no time finding the goal 30 seconds into the second half when Nicole Purcell notched her first goal of the game. This brought the score to 5-4 Alderson Broaddus. Less than a minute later Aryanna Jones sends the tying goal past the Battlers' goal keeper. With the momentum on the side of the Golden Eagles, Megan Sheesley scored her second goal of the night just 32 second after her teammate. With the goal Charleston led Alderson Broaddus 6-5.
-After a series of possessions Aryanna Jones found the goal again for the Golden Eagles. On the next possession Mazzy Dick scored for the Battlers, bringing the score to 7-6 UC. Just before the 20 minute mark Alderson Broaddus tied the game up with a goal by Mazzy Dick. Jasmine Barham scored her fourth goal of the night on the next possession. Mykirah Jones found the net two more times before the clock struck 19:00.
- The Battlers capitalized on a UC turnover at 14:28 to go up 11-7 on UC. After another goal by the Battlers Charleston found the net When Aryanna Jones put one through the pipes at 5:47. With less than a minute to go Rachel Kerwin sent one home for the Golden Eagles bringing the score to 12-9, but Alderson Broaddus would score one more time before time expired.
