FULL RESULTS
GENEVA, Ohio – UC Men's & Women's Track & Field returned to the action Friday and Saturday competing in the Midwest Track & Field Open at the SPIRE Institute.
The event featured teams from across NCAA Division I, II, and III along with NAIA and club teams competing in track & field events at the indoor facility at SPIRE. A few Golden Eagle individuals set personal bests and established new Charleston records at the two-day event in Geneva, Ohio.
A few highlights from the event include Tricht Jocelyn setting a PR in the 60m with a time of 8.09 seconds, just .02 seconds from the UC record held by Meccah Ali-McDaniel. Her time was good 16
th overall in a field of over 70 runners. Jocelyn also finished 21
st in the 200m out of 110 competitors in the event.
Diana Castillero continues a strong start to the season, setting a new UC record in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 9.15 seconds to finish sixth overall in the finals. Julia Onrubia turned in a top-10 performance in the Triple Jump with a jump of 10.96m to place sixth overall among 30 jumpers.
UC returns to the track next Friday competing in the Marietta Alumni Open hosted by Marietta College.
