HOW IT HAPPENED

The Golden Eagles fell to Centre College Saturday afternoon, allowing 16 goals into the back of the net.  Esther Yi started the scoring for the day, scoring a goal in the first five minutes of the game, putting UC up 1-0. Centre answered back seven minutes later, putting the Colonels on the board to tie up the game with 20:28 left to play in the first half.  Samantha Youngman had the second goal for UC at the 15:30 mark, putting UC back in the lead.  Centre then took control of the rest of the first half, allowing the Golden Eagles to stay at two goals, and finishing the half with seven themselves.
 
The second half of play was a similar story for Charleston, as they could not keep up with the Colonels from Centre College.  Esther Yi added two more goals in the second half, but these as well as goals from Brianna Rock, and Peyton Harris could not push UC past Centre, falling 16-6.

CHARLESTON INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
- Esther Yi led the Golden Eagles with three goals.

CENTRE INDIVIDUAL LEADER
- Hannah Hardy and Hannah Bellemah scored four goals each for the Colonels to lead Centre in scoring.
