CHARLESTON, W.Va – The University of Charleston Women's Soccer team (9-7-1, 7-5-1 MEC) will play their final regular season game of the year as they host the Falcons of Fairmont State (10-4-2, 9-2-2 MEC) on Wednesday at the WAC with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The Golden Eagles, who picked up a 2-0 win on the road at Frostburg State on Saturday, will be playing for a berth to the MEC tournament on Wednesday.

About the Opposition: After finishing the 2018 campaign 6-5-2 in the MEC, the Falcons have put together a 9-2-2 MEC record this season, leading the MEC North. Fairmont State's last loss came on October 13
th, as they have put together four wins and a tie since. Last Wednesday, the Falcons defeated Notre Dame College 1-0 in 2 OT. On a free kick into the box, Kellie Norris was able to find the back of the net in the 105
th minute of play.
This will be the eighth matchup between the Falcons and Golden Eagles in their history with UC holding a 5-0-2 advantage. Last season, the Golden Eagles defeated Fairmont State 2-1 on the road.
What's at Stake: With a win, the Golden Eagles will clinch a berth to the MEC playoffs as the third seed in the MEC South. Charleston currently holds a three-point lead over Davis & Elkins in the South Division with two games remaining for the Senators. Davis & Elkins is scheduled to play West Liberty on Wednesday and West Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday, both home games for the Senators.
