RALEIGH, N.C. -- Charleston's Jack Mastandrea finished the 10,000 meter run with a time of 29:36 this past Friday at the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility as part of the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State University.
Mastandrea's sub-30 minute time is an NCAA Provisional qualifying time and currently is the third best 10k time in all of NCAA Division II. The junior is just around 20 seconds from an automatic qualifying time which is 29:13. This year's NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held in Kingsville, Texas from May 23 to May 25. The Championships are hosted by Texas A&M University, Kingsville at Javelina Stadium. The finals for the Men's 10,000 Meter is scheduled for a 9:35 p.m. start on Thursday, May 23.
