INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- The NCAA Division II released the first Regional Rankings of the season on Wednesday and the University of Charleston Men's basketball is currently in 5
th place in the Atlantic Region. The top-8 teams from the eight regions earn a bid to the NCAA DII Tournament.
Charleston currently holds a record of 20-5 (15-4 MEC) and picked up an 88-70 win this evening against the Falcons of Notre Dame College.

The Men's basketball program is looking to earn a spot in the NCAA Division II Tournament for the first time since the 2013-14 season when the Golden Eagles defeated the Hilltoppers from West Liberty in the MEC Championship game.
Charleston is joined in the rankings by fellow MEC members West Liberty (3), Fairmont State (4), and West Virginia State (7).
The Golden Eagles will host Urbana University on Saturday at the Wehrle Innovation Center with tip scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
