Marietta, Oh. & Township, Mi. - The University of Charleston men's and women's track and field competed at two competitions this past weekend. Both teams took home first place at the Marietta First Glimpse Track Meet. Twelve other runners competed at the Holiday Open at Grand Valley State University.

UC ran against six other schools, with one being Glenville State. The men received a total of 201 points and the women had 189 total. Between both the men and women events, UC won 19 events. The day marked a few key events for freshman Timber Huysmans. Huysmans ran a 55m in 6.55 seconds and the 200m in 22.27 seconds.

Warren Thiel broke the school record in the 800m, running 1:51.06. The men's team ranked 16^th for the weekend. NCAA Provisional Qualifying Time-#3 in the NCAA currently.
