RALEIGH, N.C. – This past weekend, Track and Field head coach Nick Bias brought
Jack Mastandrea and
Nathan Stout down to North Carolina State University to compete in the Raleigh Relays (Mar. 25-27). Loaded with Division-I talent from across the country, both Mastandrea and Stout showed out as top-finishers of the Division II competition in their respective events.
Mastandrea, a senior from Mooresville, North Carolina, competed in the 10k and finished with a time of 29:02.95. With the time, Mastandrea was the top Division II finisher in the event (7
th overall) and earned an NCAA Automatic Qualifier on his way to recording his personal best, as well as a new Charleston Track and Field record in the event.
Stout, a senior from Glenville, West Virginia, finished 6
th overall in the Shot Put and finished as the top Division II finisher in the event. With his thro of 17.22m, Stout earned an NCAA Provisional Qualifier with the 11
th best throw in Division II this season.
This year, the Division II Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held on the campus of Grand Valley State University from May 27-29.
