BRIDGEPORT, W.Va.. -- Charleston's Nathan Stout has been named the Mountain East Conference Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors, while West Liberty's Kelsi Hulit was selected as the Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week.
Stout, a senior from Glenville, W.Va., was a two-time winner over the weekend at the UC Invitational. He won the shot put with a NCAA provisional mark of 16.93 meters, and then won the hammer with another provisional mark of 55.60, which also was a school record.
Hulit, a junior from Malvern, Ohio, won both the shot put and the discus at the UC Invitational. She posted a mark of 47.10 meters in the discus, which is a NCAA provisional mark and 15th-best in the country. She also finished fourth in the hammer.
