Men's T&F Opens 2022 With a Win at the Marietta Open

Marietta, Ohio.—The University of Charleston track teams competed in the Marietta Open hosted by Marietta College on Friday, January 14, 2022. It would be their second meet of the 2021-2022 season and their first of 2022. 11 other schools would head to southeast Ohio to take part in the day's events.
 
Men: 1st Overall (90 points)
On the day the Men's Track and Field team would win the event with a total of 90 points. The relatively young squad rolled past point park by 13 points to secure their first win of 2022.
 
Long-time head coach Nick Bias' squad showed well in their first event of 2022. Dezmon Bradshaw set a new school record after posting a 7.79 in the 55m hurdles The following are some highlights of the day for UC Men's T&F.

Head coach Nick Bias said this of the team's performance on Saturday. 

"We wanted to make sure we got a solid indoor meet right after Christmas holiday and to make sure our kids are prepared moving forward thorughout the rest of the indoor season. The men were able to win as a team. Some highlights were two new school records being broken with Dezmon in the 55 meter hurdles and 6 event winners with multiple personal bests."
