How it Happened
The Golden Eagles improved their record to 18-5 with the win on Saturday and are currently locked in at third place in the MEC with a 14-4 record in conference play.

McManus had just five first half points before going off in the second half with 17 to bring his total to 22 for the night. He also grabbed seven rebounds while going 6-7 from the charity stripe.

Eddie Colbert III came up big adding seven second half points while shooting 75% from the field.

Sophomore Jeremiah Keene added 17 points with 10 of those coming in the first half to go along with his team leading three assists.

It wasn't all roses for the Golden Eagles in the first half as they were outscored by the Senators 41-32. Davis and Elkins out-shot Charleston a margin of 67% to 37% in the first half.

The second half was when Charleston started their run outscoring Davis and Elkins by 18 in the second half to give them the win. The big second half from Charleston would begin from the sound of the first horn as the Golden Eagles went on a 17-2 run to begin the period. A big three by Keith Williams, who scored 16 in the game, started the second half scoring. Lamont McManus added 8 points during the five-minute run. Â
