Keith Williams Joins Men's Basketball Staff

Charleston, WV – University of Charleston Men's Basketball Head Coach Dwaine Osborne has announced the addition of former Golden Eagle standout Keith Williams to the program's coaching staff for the upcoming season.

"I am so thankful to be able to add Coach Williams to our staff," Osborne said. "He was a three-time all-conference player for us, so he understands what it takes to be successful in this program. I am so grateful that he will continue to greatly impact the program as he begins his coaching career."

Williams, a Sandusky, Ohio native, played for the Golden Eagles from 2018-2023 and is the all-time wins leader in program history with an incredible 102 wins throughout his playing career. Among many other accomplishments, Williams is also a part of the 1,000-point club, a top 20 scorer in program history, and was an integral member of the 2020-21 Charleston team that won an MEC championship. He will be looking to bring his successful experience as a student-athlete to the coaching staff and serve as an excellent resource for all the current student-athletes within the program.

"First, I want to thank Coach Osborne for giving me this opportunity," Williams said. "Coach Osborne recruited me out of high school and has now given me a chance to join this amazing coaching staff. It is a privilege to be back home here at UC and help the program continue moving in the right direction. I'm super excited to get right to work."

Williams is the final addition to a 2023-24 coaching staff that will see the program headed by Dwaine Osborne for his 11th season at the University of Charleston.

The Golden Eagles will open the season at home as they host this year's Region Tip Off Challenge. They will open the season against Salem University on November 10th at 7:00 pm followed by a matchup with Gannon University on November 11th at 4:00 pm.
