BRIDGEPORT, W. Va.—For the third year in a row, the University of Charleston is favored to win the Mountain East Conference men's soccer title in 2023. They snagged the first place spot with 49 points and seven first-place votes from the conference's coaches.
Charleston Men's Soccer has claimed the MEC regular season title eight times and the MEC tournament title nine times since the conference was established in 2013. Last year, they secured their ninth MEC tournament title on their home turf with a 2 to 1 victory over the Norte Dame Falcons.
The Golden Eagles will begin their 2023 campaign in Ashland, Ohio on August 31.
