Emporia, Kan.—The University of Charleston track and field program closed out the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships with three All-American performances at Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kansas from May 21–23.

What Happened:
On the opening day of competition, Colette Patti earned Second Team All-American honors in the women's 100-meter dash after placing 14th nationally. Patti advanced to the national meet following a record-breaking outdoor season for the Golden Eagles.
Also competing on day one, Mia Huber secured Second Team All-American honors in the women's hammer throw with a 16th-place national finish. Huber capped off an impressive outdoor campaign with her first outdoor All-American performance on the national stage.
On the final day of competition, Mathew Meli closed out the championship meet with a 13th-place finish in the men's 5,000-meter run to earn Second Team All-American honors. Meli also finished as the top freshman in the nation in the event, adding another milestone to an outstanding freshman season for the Golden Eagles.
Charleston concluded the national championships with three athletes earning All-American recognition against the top NCAA Division II competitors in the country.
