SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - The University of Charleston men shot 50 percent from the field and held a 38-24 rebounding advantage in collecting a 70-66 victory at WVIAC opponent Shepherd, Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles (6-8, 4-6 West Virginia Conference) limited the Rams to just 36 percent shooting from the floor in the second half after the teams went into the break tied at 34.

James Eversley led the Charleston effort, scoring 20 points including 8-of-9 from the free throw line, and Ibrahim Marone added 16 points and seven rebounds.

Chad Moore scored 16 points and grabbed 12 boards to pace Shepherd (6-9, 4-7). Jonathan Motichka tossed in 14 points for the Rams and Dave Karlson chipped in with 12 points.
