BUCKHANNON, W.Va. - John Liggins scored a game-high 27 points but it was not enough as the University of Charleston fell on the road to West Virginia Wesleyan 86-80 Wednesday night in Buckhannon.
Marquis Weddle scored 22 points to lead the Bobcats (6-3, 3-3 West Virginia Conference), while Neven Zeravica added 19, Colby Wohlleb 15 and T.J. Thompson 10. Reggie Chambers had 11 assists for Wesleyan.
For the Golden Eagles (3-7, 1-5), Marco Richardson added 15 points while Marcus Knott contributed 10.
Charleston returns to the court looking to get back in the win column on Saturday, Jan. 8 as they face conference opponent Seton Hill at 8:00 pm.
